Apply yourself in school.

No matter what grade your in or really where you are in life, apply yourself. I always heard it in school and how it would help you in the long run blah blah blah and here I am preaching the same message. Well for me it comes from a place of regret, they were right. Mostly in high school and college is were it matters most but if you try harder in those grades below that it will make your future student life a hell of a lot easier. In high school I never really tried and didn’t care about school, took the easiest classes, and did whatever I had to do to just float on by. My grades weren’t terrible by any means both in high school and college I had about a 3.0 gpa sometimes a little under sometimes a little over. However if I did just step up and tried more took harder classes it would have made me a better person as well as gave me some college credit and saved me some money. That is the biggest regret there not saving myself some money and not padding and building a resumé while gaining an education. I sacrificed all this to be lazy and have the ability to get home and jump straight onto video games. College was similar, I went for an easy degree, it was one I was interested in and wanted to study but none the less easy. My work ethic with homework, projects, and papers continued to be me getting them done to go on doing what I wanted to do. I don’t count any of these things I lacked while being a student a mistake but I do wish I would have done better. If a younger me was reading this he would totally disregard this and go one continuing his thing if he would even read the whole thing, the fact that I’m writing this I would consider progress and take that as a win.
